Lunar New Year

Dave Kandal Elementary celebrates Lunar New Year with a variety of traditions. Each year our Kandal dragon dances through the school visiting all classes. It is a noisy affair! Through-out the day many classes participate in integrated activites and stations learning about the Lunar new Year and Asian culture. The school comes alive with a blaze of color. Colorful lanterns accompanied by scrolls of Chinese writing adorn our halls, and our students join in by wearing red!
